Megan and Benny met in Dayton, OH in 2007 while both of them were in medical school at Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine.  They became friends over a tray of fresh vegetables! Yes that's true! While at a Wright State Med School sponsored event at Brixx Ice House Bar, Megan caught Benny busy at the fresh veggie plate, attempting to fill his mouth to capacity with red peppers! This would encite their first ever conversation, with Megan (a vegetarian) shouting: "Why don't you save some for the rest of us!"

For the next year they would be friends, enjoying Dayton Dragons Baseball games, going to pub trivia, playing board games, chewing bubble gum, and hanging out with mutual friends.  Benny even taught Megan and her best friend/roomate Tiffany how to suture - on half-cooked chicken breasts!

Benny graduated in 2008, moved to Madison, WI for a 3-year Emergency Medicine Residency at University of Wisconsin. Megan stayed in Dayton to finish her time at Wright State.

After graduating in 2010, Megan did a 1-year Internship at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago , IL before moving back to Columbus, OH to start her 3-year Ophthalmology Residency at Ohio State University.

Benny moved to Columbus at the end of his residency in 2008, back together again in the same town as Megan!

Together, they love board games, singing and playing guitar, skiing, canoing, hiking, cooking, birding and traveling to visit family in WA, OR, MN, WI, IA and IL.  They have a goal to one day visit every US national park. So far they have been to 17 together (see photo gallery).
